Hello Justice funds court cases in France. The company pays its clients’ legal fees and is paid out of the sums recovered, only if the case succeeds.

The law and the means to enforce it.
Dear Madam, Dear Sir,
There is a gap between the rights the law recognises and the rights people manage to enforce. In France, that gap comes first from the cost and length of proceedings. A high‑stakes dispute runs from €30,000 to more than €300,000 in fees and costs, over two to four years, sometimes longer. Many claimants with a well‑founded claim give up, or settle at a loss, against an opponent who can afford to wait. The outcome then turns on each side’s cash.
We founded Hello Justice to narrow that gap. We pay the client’s lawyer’s fees, as set in an agreement signed by the client, their lawyer and our company. If the case is lost, the client repays us nothing. If it is won, we take a commission on the sums recovered, at a rate written into the agreement before any commitment.
Our role stops there. Hello Justice is not a law firm and runs no proceedings. The lawyer chooses the strategy, and the client decides with them whether to settle or to go on. The agreement sets out this division of roles and the lawyer’s independence.
The United Kingdom, Australia and the United States have practised litigation funding for years, with specialist firms their courts know well. In France, article 16 of the Act of 30 April 2025 and the decree of 10 December 2025 have given it a framework. Hello Justice is the first French company dedicated to mid‑market litigation funding, from €100,000 at stake.
We fund a case only after a specialised partner lawyer has analysed it. Each agreement states what everyone pays and what everyone receives, and we honour it until the case ends. Litigation funding does not correct every inequality before the courts. It addresses one of them, the cost of acting, for individuals and companies whose claim is well founded.

Valentin PETITCLERC

Trained in law, he runs three companies, Hello Justice among them.
He studied law at Université Jean Moulin (Lyon III), then international business at St. John’s University in New York. He holds a master’s in management and strategy from ESDES Business School in Lyon.
He runs Stratedge Consulting (business advisory), Visio‑Avocats (secure video conferencing for lawyers) and Hello Justice. He has been invited to the Forbes 30 Under 30 summits since 2019. He teaches at business schools and trains law firms and notary offices in digital tools.

Vincent DURAND
Partner
A member of the Lyon Bar since 1996.
He founded Active Avocats in 2002, a firm that joined the COGEP group in 2024, where he sits on the executive committee. He is vice‑president of UNAPL and U2P, and a member of the Lyon Bar’s Innovation Commission.
He holds the Magistère in business law from Lyon III and a master’s in international business from Aix‑Marseille. He attended the Banking & Corporate Finance Law programme at Louisiana State University. A former UN peacekeeper and mountain infantryman, he served in Lebanon on overseas operations. He holds the Overseas Medal, the National Defence Medal in bronze and the Medal of Recognition of the Nation.

Pauline ANDRIEU

An international tax lawyer since 2015.
A tax lawyer admitted to the Lyon Bar, she practised for six years in Geneva in international wealth taxation, for high‑net‑worth clients and family offices. She joined Active Avocats in 2022. Her practice covers wealth structuring, corporate and personal taxation, and support for fundraising.
She holds a master’s in tax law from Paris I Panthéon‑Sorbonne, with honours, and a master’s in professional wealth law from Paris‑Dauphine. She also holds an LLM in tax law from the University of Geneva.

Hello Justice SAS is the manager of Hello Justice Capital 1, a variable‑capital civil company that funds court proceedings in France. Overlord SAS handles its formation, its administration (legal secretarial work, investor information) and, where applicable, its liquidation. It also provides the white‑label subscription platform.
