Commercial disputes.

Your company faces the sudden termination of a business relationship, a large unpaid debt, a breach of contract, unfair competition or infringement. Hello Justice pays your lawyer’s fees set in the agreement, and is paid from the sums recovered, only in the event of success.

What we fund.

Going to court costs from €30,000 to more than €300,000 in fees and costs, over two to four years, sometimes longer. Many companies then give up their claim, or settle at a loss.

  • Sudden termination of a business relationship

A long‑standing partner ends the relationship without sufficient notice.
  • Large unpaid debt

A customer does not pay invoices it does not seriously dispute.
  • Breach of contract

A service, a delivery or an undertaking was not honoured.
  • Unfair competition and free‑riding

A competitor disparages you, copies you or free‑rides on your investment.
  • Infringement

A patent, a trademark or a design is exploited without your consent.

Legal grounds and case law.

The statutes and court decisions these cases rely on.

French Commercial Code, art. L. 442-1, II
Suddenly ending an established business relationship without sufficient notice makes its author liable. Compensation is generally based on the gross margin lost over the notice period that should have been given.
French Civil Code, art. 1231-1 et seq.
The party that fails to perform its obligation compensates the loss it causes, including lost profit.
French Civil Code, art. 1240 · Cass. com., 12 February 2020, no. 17-31.614
Unfair competition and free‑riding: a loss is necessarily inferred from unfair acts, which eases the burden of proof.
French Intellectual Property Code, art. L. 615-7
Patent infringement: damages take separate account of lost profit, the infringer’s profits and non‑material harm.
Law no. 2025-391 of 30 April 2025, art. 16
First statutory recognition of third‑party litigation funding in French law.

What the analysis checks.

A specialised partner lawyer analyses the eligibility of each case. Not all cases are retained.

  • A documented relationship, contract or right: contracts, invoices, revenue over the last three years, official reports, intellectual property titles.

  • A loss of at least €100,000, shown by documents.

  • A solvent opponent: a group, an insurer, a public body or a company with verifiable assets.

  • A claim that is not time‑barred: as a rule five years between traders, a point checked first.
