Serial litigation.

When the same contract, clause or practice has harmed many people, Hello Justice funds their cases one by one. Each person keeps their own case, agreement and compensation.

A conference hall and its moving audience.

What we fund.

A loss of a few thousand euros does not, on its own, justify going to court. Handled as a series, similar cases share the same standard documents and the same analysis work, which lowers the cost of each one.

  • Foreign‑currency loans

Swiss‑franc home loans whose exchange clause may be held unfair.
  • Unfair terms

A standard clause, repeated in thousands of subscription or credit contracts.
  • Charges and billing

Undue bank charges, energy or telecom over‑billing.
  • Personal data

A data breach affecting the customers of one company.

Now open · with COGEP AVOCATS

Swiss‑franc loans.

The open series covers Swiss‑franc home loans taken out between 2002 and 2015. It follows the two published Cour de cassation rulings of 9 July 2025, recent case law liable to change. Around 50,000 eligible cases are estimated.

This programme charges no analysis fee. Hello Justice covers the flat fees of COGEP AVOCATS, that is €5,000. Costs and disbursements are capped at €300 incl. VAT. The success fee is 14% incl. VAT, only on the sums actually recovered, shared between the lawyer and the funder.

Legal grounds and case law.

The statutes and court decisions these cases rely on.

French Consumer Code, art. L. 212-1 and L. 241-1
In a consumer contract, a term that creates a significant imbalance between the parties’ rights and obligations is unfair. It is deemed unwritten.
Cass. 1st civ., 9 July 2025, no. 24-19.647
Foreign‑currency loans: a clause that places the exchange risk on the borrower may be held unfair, and that risk is assessed over the whole term of the contract. Recent case law, liable to change.
GDPR, art. 82 · CJEU, 4 May 2023, C-300/21
Anyone who suffers damage from an infringement of the regulation is entitled to compensation. Non‑material damage is compensated without a seriousness threshold, provided it is proven.
Law no. 2025-391 of 30 April 2025, art. 16
First statutory recognition of third‑party litigation funding in French law.

What the analysis checks.

Hello Justice opens a series when the law supports it and there are enough cases to share its cost. A specialised partner lawyer then analyses the eligibility of each case. Not all cases are retained.

  • A common, documented breach: the same clause, the same security flaw or the same billing practice.

  • Many people affected by that same breach.

  • A quantifiable loss for each of them, even a modest one.

  • A claim that is not time‑barred.

  • A defendant able to pay all the awards.

What you pay.

The Swiss‑franc loan programme has its own terms, set out above. For any other case, the price is that of any dispute Hello Justice funds.
