Investors, law firms, claimants: who litigation funding is for.
Hello Justice funds court proceedings in France from Lyon. Whether you are looking to allocate capital, to have a client’s case funded, or to enforce your rights without paying legal fees upfront, the entry point differs.
Investors
Litigation funding is an asset class uncorrelated with listed markets. Hello Justice Capital 1 is a private placement reserved for a restricted circle of investors within the meaning of article L. 411-2 of the French Monetary and Financial Code, with a minimum subscription of EUR 100,000.
Law firms
Hello Justice is not a law firm and carries out no legal activity: we fund, we do not intervene. The independence of counsel is written into the tripartite agreement signed with the client, in line with the French bar rules (RIN).
Claimants and companies
Claim value from EUR 100,000, a solvent opposing party, a clear legal basis: Hello Justice covers the procedural costs and the fees set out in the agreement, and is paid only out of the amounts actually recovered. The client remains free to choose their own lawyer.
Local footprint
A company based in Lyon, handling cases throughout France, including along the French-Swiss border for Swiss franc loans.
Frequently asked questions
What is litigation funding?
A third party covers the costs of proceedings in exchange for a percentage of the amounts recovered if the claim succeeds. If the claim fails, the claimant repays nothing: the funding is non-recourse.
Is third-party litigation funding lawful in France?
Yes. Third-party funding is lawful under French law and framed by the professional rules applicable to lawyers, in particular the RIN.
Can I keep my own lawyer?
Yes. The choice of counsel always belongs to the client. We may suggest partner law firms, but the final choice is the client’s.
What does funding cost the claimant?
Nothing on signature. Our remuneration is a percentage of the amounts actually recovered, payable only in the event of success.
